In 1953, representatives of the American Latvian Association presented US President Dwight Eisenhower with Ludolf Liberts' painting "Riga Towers". On March 12, 1956, Life magazine published an article and a photograph in which US President Dwight Eisenhower poses in the Oval Office of the White House. The president stands next to his favorite painting - Ludolf Liberts' work. The article “The Drama of President’s “Yes” is dedicated to the president’s significant decision to continue his work as president of the United States after suffering a heart attack. This year, the Latvian National Museum of Art is celebrating. An exhibition of works by Ludolfs Liberts “Ludolfs Liberts (1895–1959). The Hypnotic Splendor of Art Deco” has opened. “Riga Towers” has also been brought to the celebration. Now each of us has the opportunity to take a photo with the thirty-fourth president of the United States’ favorite painting.
