As mentioned in the expert report No. 76 (29.05.2001) of the State Art Museum (now the Latvian National Museum of Art), "J. Rozentāls colored each copy of the lithograph with paints, thus changing individual compositional elements and using painterly means creating the plasticity of the form and the tonal spatial environment."
