Artis Nīmanis is a Latvian glass artist and designer, born in 1978 and a graduate of the Art Academy of Latvia with a master’s degree in visual plastic arts. He is the founder and creative force behind an&angel, Latvia’s most renowned glass design brand. Known for innovative techniques, he uses advanced vacuum processes to coat glass with thin metal layers, creating mirror-like effects and optical illusions that reflect his deep fascination with perception and reality. Nīmanis has been exhibiting since 1998 and, over the past decade, has participated in more than 30 exhibitions across Europe, the United States, Mexico, and Asia. His works are held in private collections and featured in notable locations such as the Līgatne Pavāru māja, Riga Castle, the ARS Rehabilitation Center, and the Benjamiņi House.
