"I got the inspiration for this painting during one of my countless, lonely walks along my beloved Slītere Sea. At that time, large storm clouds were approaching, but the horizon at the sea was bright. I felt a deeply expressed allegory with life - in a seemingly dark moment, trust and inner peace are the light, like hope and a promise of good.
