In August and September Birkenfelds gallery on 3 Rupniecibas street in
Riga offers access to the contemporary photography archives starring Antanas Sutkus (Lithuania), EFIAP
Excellences Janis Gleizds(Latvia) and Ulvis Alberts(USA).
The works thematically range from harsh Soviet social realism reports to
Hollywood celebrities, musicians and even poker faces from more than 20 photo
artists. Besides the
photographs, the exhibition will show creation in action – in various printing
techniques: gelatin silver copy, Lambda print, digital print and other secrets
of the trade.
